What to do or not to do when your child turns 1 Year Old
When your child turns 1 year old, it’s a huge milestone, something to be celebrated. But how does one celebrate this milestone? My husband and I discussed this at length; should we have a party or not? We both believe our son, Kayden, is far too young to understand or appreciate a party. We therefore decided that we wanted something he could look back at one day – something with great memories. Something very special.
Cake Smash Photoshoot
If you have a baby that’s soon going to turn a year old, like we do, you’re also probably wondering what to do for this special occasion. We love the idea of a Cake Smash Photoshoot, which does seem to be quite the trend for a 1 year-old birthday. Not that we are the type of parents who follow trends – but we do love and appreciate photography. We therefore decided that this is how we were going to commemorate this very special milestone.
Choosing a Photographer
With so many photographers to choose from, choosing the right one for the photoshoot could be quite a daunting task. Having done some research of my own, I found that the price range varied a lot – often dependent on how popular the photographer is, this in my opinion isn’t always in line of the quality of their work.
It is very important to feel comfortable with the photographer you choose. Anyone can hold a camera and capture a photo, but it takes talent to capture the “right” moments. This takes a certain amount of patience combined with passion. The result of such photos creates priceless moments and to me, this is what photography is all about.
During my research to find a photographer for Kayden’s Cake Smash photo shoot, I luckily stumbled upon Cindy Stoltz Photography. Here are the reasons why I chose her:
- Turn around time – responded to my inquiry within a day
- Professional approach – communicated professionally
- Attention to detail – provided me with all the details I needed, in the form of a brochure attached to the email correspondence
- Variety of outfits and themes available included in the price
- Variety of cakes available, also included in the price
- Variety of décor and colours available, also included in the price
- Customised outfits can be made at an additional cost
- Positive feedback from previous clients
- Fantastic price for the package
- Last and of certainly not least, the beautiful photography
This package is so convenient – all you have to basically do – is get yourselves to the photoshoot venue, which is in the Boksburg area.
Cindy Stoltz is a professional photographer who specialises in and not limited to, cake smashes, family sessions and maternity sessions. Don’t despair if your little one has already had a Cake Smash Photoshoot and/or is over 1 year old.
Cindy Stoltz has a new edition to her portfolio: The Paint Splash Sessions!
It’s similar to the Cake Smash Photo Shoot, however, this is for children between the ages of 1-5 years old. Which child at this age would not love to paint away on some canvas? Oh! What fun!
