The Appetite Fest is here! If you didn’t get a chance to visit yesterday, make your way over to Time Square in Pretoria, that’s where it’s all happening. Even the weather couldn’t keep away food and fun enthusiasts yesterday! With international and local culinary artists, it’s an event you don’t want to miss. All the details are in my previous post, click here for more details. If you need more inspiration to visit, check out the rest of this post which contains Appetite Fest Photos.
At a press conference yesterday morning, Time Square’s General Manager, Brett Hoppe, announced that the Appetite Fest will be happening next year, in the same week.
I saved my Instagram Live Video of the press conference and uploaded to my Facebook Page, which you can view by clicking here.
You can also view pictures I took with my mobile device on my Instagram profile by clicking here.
For now, let me share some photos from yesterday to whet your appetite, in case you need some inspiration to get to Pretoria today.
Appetite Fest Photos – Press Conference
At the Press Conference, local and international culinary artists shared a little of what to expect for both days of the Appetite Fest.
“Yeah, look we love it here. We feel very comfortable, we’re all from Melbourne. There’s a similarity in terms of climate, there’s a similarity in terms of history, there’s a similarity in terms of you love the sport and you love the food. There’s a similarity in you have food minds…..you’re a rainbow nation, we are kind of like that, the Australian version….so yeah, there are so much of similarities,” – Matt Preston, Masterchef Australia Judge and host.
George Calombaris, “There was this perception, sort of “where are you going? South Africa…be careful…”
“I’ve never had to worry once, everyone’s so warm, generous, wonderful.” –

Appetite Fest Photos – Of course…there were drinks too and a whole lot more
These are only photos of the indoor areas. There’s a whole lot more happening in the outside area, from live entertainment to the kid’s area. There’s so much more to see and do, I have to of course, leave some to your imagination…or better still for you to go and see and experience it for yourself!
Looks absolutely delicious. Wish I were there.
