I recently had the privilege to play with Canon’s instant camera printers, i.e. the Zoemini S and Zoemini C. As an individual with a natural creative flair, this of course appealed to me. If you’re someone who enjoys scrap-booking, I am pretty sure that you will enjoy the Zoemini cameras!

But that’s not all, I actually think that this will be such a fantastic addition to a team building kit in the corporate environment. Group a diverse group together, with some preparation in advance, carefully select a balance amongst the personalities – ensure that there is at least one creative in each team and if you’re familiar with the Insights Discovery profiles – that would simply mean that each team should have a “sunshine yellow” personality.
Depending on the corporate strategy, give the team an activity to create for example, a “vision board” or “team goals” – using the Zoemini cameras. At the end of the activity, offer the cameras as gifts as an incentive and use the vision boards as reminders and reinforcement throughout the financial year ahead. It’s something different opposed to the mundane team building activities and it’s so much of fun!
Speaking of fun, that’s exactly what I experienced when testing these cameras with one of my closest friends. Trust me, if your BFF loves selfies, the fact that these photos which print instantly and also double up as stickers, you can be assured that it’s an accessory you’ll both not want to do without!
If you enjoy storyboards and photo-books, the possibilities are endless…here’s ours…it was the very first attempt, so not the greatest – but the fun and the memories made in doing this is what matters most.
I must however mention that I didn’t like the fact that one can’t preview the photo before printing. However, this isn’t a problem at all if you download the app, which is free. The Canon Zoemini S is supported by the free-to-download Canon Mini Print App (iOS/Android), which enables users to print their images directly from a smart device using Bluetooth® as well as edit from an array of creative filters and frames.
Just so you know, this instant camera printer doesn’t use ink……yep! It uses Zink technology.
I feel I should also point out that one needs to remind one’s self that the quality of images is not like those you would find in a digital camera, it is an instant camera printer, so it is just that. The first few images I took was not great but like anything else in life, with some practice, it improved and I was chuffed at the results!

This will make an incredible “well done on your exams” gift or a birthday gift or a Christmas gift or even a corporate gift. I do believe it’s reasonably priced, I honestly thought it was going to be much more expensive that it really is. I know that if I was a teen, I would certainly want this as a gift – well quite honestly, as you know, I’m no teen….but….it’s something I’d still enjoy and did, very much so!
It’s trendy, it’s fun, it’s sleek, it’s convenient, it’s well priced and it encourages creativity for those who enjoy vision boards, photo boards and similar – photos and printing on the go – oh, did I mention that the photos are borderless by the way? Yep, they are.
