Best of the Decades at Rockwood Sibaya this summer

Summer is set to rock at Rockwood Theatre, https://www.suninternational.com/sibaya/Sibaya. Currently lighting up the stage every Thursday to Sunday until 27 January 2019 is the new musical production, Best of the Decades. With enigmatic performers and spectacular sound, staging, lighting and costumes, Best of the Decades is an enthralling entertainment experience for music lovers of all ages.

A nostalgic journey of evergreen hits from then and now awaits audiences. From the funky disco 70s when the party never stopped and the ground breaking 80s which produced some of the bestselling songs of all time, to the 90s which perhaps inspired much of music listened to today, and the Generation Y sounds of the 2000 and beyond.

Best of the Decades is the soundtrack to life over the past five decades. Enjoy the classical sounds of the BeeGees, Disco Divas, ABBA and Queen from the 70s. Sway to the songs of icons of the 80s like Madonna, Lionel Ritchie and Def Leppard. Sing along to unforgettable songs from the 90s like “Moving on Up” and “What is Love”, as well as from the 2000s that gave us idols like Kelly Clarkson.

New hits by living legends like Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are guaranteed to get audiences off their seats. Doors will open a 90 minutes before each show to give the audience time to relax, unwind and enjoy the intimacy and warmth of the venue, while having a cozy meal.

“Best of the Decades will transport you back to the days of your youth, with some of the most memorable songs of all time, and back to now with some of the biggest current hits. This show has it all,” says Janet Pillay, PR and Promotions Manager at Sibaya.

Tickets cost R99 per person (Thursday) and R130 per person (Friday to Sunday). Pensioners get 50% off the ticket price on Sundays and children under 12 enter for free. Terms and conditions apply.
