Kamp Kwena fun for the young at Sun City this Festive Season

Young adventurers visiting Sun City this festive season have bucket loads of fun to look forward to, with Kamp Kwena. The premier lifestyle resort of choice has gone all out to ensure that every day is jam-packed with enchanting activities and games; whether it is participating in Kamp Kwena’s pre-teens programme or enjoying the lazy days of summer swimming and sliding at the Valley of Waves, playing adventure golf or enjoying other favourite resort amusements.

The Kamp Kwena programme, which runs from Saturday, 15 December, to Sunday, 6 January 2019, boasts numerous resort outings and friendly rivalry games to keep the kids busy and excited. Think maze challenges, tug-o-war, ice-cream eating contests, pin the nose on Rudolf, dash for cash, pick a box shows, hoola-hoop contests, balloon and tombola toss, musical games and scavenger hunts at the hotel pool decks from 11h00 to 17h00 daily (weather permitting).

Other activities include face painting, biscuit decorating, fancy dress, mini-discos, marshmallow braais, and musical games. The daily activity programme will be available from the Concierge Desk at each hotel. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years can choose to participate in selected sessions or the full-day workshop.

A creche facility is also available at Soho hotel to take care of the needs of the teeny tots aged between 1 and 2 years, charged at an hourly rate. Should mom and dad need a date night out, or to attend an event in the evening, evening sessions are available for 5 to 12 year-olds from 19h00 to 21h30.

Once again this year, Sun City will provide a chilled environment where youngsters aged between 13 and 17 can connect, socialise and party. The Teen Zone at The Crater, located in the entertainment hub, Sun Central will have DJs on the decks, various entertainment as well as interactive games, courtesy of the Magic Company. Entrance is free and the sessions are from 19h00 to 23h00 on certain nights between 15 December 2018 and 5 January 2019. Food and refreshments will be on sale.

Christmas is all about family time so on Christmas Eve children can join their parents for some soul-stirring carol singing in the Sun Arena; then join Santa and his elves for snow-filled fun at the Cabanas lawns on Christmas day.

Last but certainly not least on the Sun City kids’ festive season calendar is a New Year’s Eve Bash suitable for children aged 5 to 12 that will be hosted by Kamp Kwena at The Crater, Sun Central. The festivities include dinner and entertainment so booking is essential. Children must be registered at Kamp Kwena to attend the New Year’s Eve Bash. The party will take place from 19h00 to 22h00.
