Before Kayden was born, I did some research online, wondering what toys we needed to buy for him. Often, the things that I preferred was not available in South Africa. If we did buy him any toys before birth, it would have been very few as we didn’t know if he was going to be a girl or boy at the time.
After he was born, whenever I went shopping, I spent so much of time trying to find him appropriate toys for stimulation but also at the same time, something that was safe enough for an infant. In my personal experience, I didn’t think there were enough options. It seemed then like many of the toys were for 3 years and up. Even though he is now 15 months, I still find this a challenge.
I was therefore so glad to hear that Prima Baby introduces the latest in development toys – Little Tikes Baby! Finally, some more options for the littlest ones in the family, how thoughtful, how necessary and how awesome that there will be a bigger and better selection for infants!
Little Tikes Baby is Designed to Develop
As “Developmental Toys” is the latest buzz-word in terms of parenting – and for good reason, you will be glad to know that each Little Tikes Baby product is “Designed to Develop” and helps baby achieve a primary developmental milestone. Little Tikes Baby has partnered closely with child development experts to ensure each product delivers on its promise.
As new parents, who do believe in equal parenting, my husband and I were hyper-focused on our child’s development from week to week, but we also found it rather challenging to find toys that could actually aid in developmental play.
I had downloaded a few apps to keep track of each development milestone and followed many pages/blogs on social media to broaden my knowledge. I must admit many of them were conflicting and whilst many were very resourceful, nothing beats the quality of actual physical play. Each baby is different and you learn in time, that your little one develops his or her own habits that are unique.
Allow me to share with you the three segments within the Little Tikes Baby line, each honing in on what is most important for your little one in the first six months:
Soothe
The ‘soothe’ segment features products designed to help calm and nurture baby.
Stimulate
The ‘stimulate’ segment highlights items designed to awaken baby’s senses through sight, touch, and sound.
Strengthen
The ‘strengthen’ segment is all about products designed to build baby’s strength during tummy time.
Nothing can replace quality playtime with your baby. So have a look at the Little Tikes Baby products range and allow them to be part of those special and magical moments!
