Ster-Kinekor Fourways Mall is open to the public following an extensive revamp – and with plenty of new releases on the way, now is the time to visit!

The Fourways site now includes a kids’ cinema, just in time for the school holidays. This is the third kids’ cinema to launch, following Sandton and East Rand Mall. These are designed for children, with a dedicated waiting area to keep them entertained before moving into the cinema, where colourful beanbag seating and an indoor slide and ball pool mean the fun just got bigger.

Adults will also enjoy the results of the recently completed revamp – along with upgraded seating and surroundings, Ster-Kinekor Fourways also boasts self-service ticketing and catering terminals that streamline the process of buying tickets, snacks and beverages. And, of course, each cinema is fitted with the best in digital projection and surround sound, all the better to catch some of the following new releases:

Nobody’s Fool

Trying to get back on her feet, wild child Tanya (Tiffany Haddish) looks to her buttoned-up, by the book sister Danica (Tika Sumpter) to help her get back on track. As these polar opposites collide with hilarious and sometimes disastrous results, Tanya discovers that Danica’s picture-perfect life –  including her mysterious boyfriend – may not be what it seems. Hunter Killer

An untested submarine captain must work with a Navy SEAL team to rescue the Russian president, who has been taken prisoner during a military coup, in an effort to stop a rogue Russian general from igniting World War III. Watch the trailer here.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Frank & Fearless

South African favourite Leon Schuster returns, this time as Frank, an ageing reprobate who teams up with a rural African boy named Fearless, a large dog and an orphaned baby rhino. This unlikely group hatches a plan to stop the slaughter of rhinos, which leads them into comic misadventures – and moments of tragedy – as they become an inspiration to a world in need of heroes. Ralph Breaks the Internet

Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) navigate the vast and dynamic world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush. Ralph Breaks the Internet releases on 30 November – watch the trailer here.

The Grinch

A newly imagined take on the grumpy green grouch who spends his days being nasty to everyone. The Grinch especially hates Christmas, and plots to ruin the day for the village of Whoville – by stealing it. Based on the hugely popular story by Dr Seuss, The Grinch stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of the mean-spirited title character.  The Grinch releases on the 7 December –  watch the trailer here.

Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales is Spider-Man – but he’s not the only one, as he discovers when another Spider-Man, Peter B. Parker turns up. And there are many more! Crossing parallel dimensions, Miles teams up with the Spider-Men of other dimensions to stop a threat to all reality.  Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse is animated in a ground-breaking new visual style – watch the trailer here. Bumblebee

In 1987 (20 years before the events of the first Transformer film) 18-year-old Charlie discovers a yellow beetle in the local junkyard of a small California beach town. She soon discovers that this is no ordinary car. Bumblebee is scared, broken down and on the run, and trouble is close behind him.
