Tom and Ann Muller, owners of the Pretoria Barnyard for the past 15 years, changed Pretoria Barnyard to Rockwood Theatre from 1 June 2017. Knowing Me Knowing You is the second production directed, produced and staged by Rockwood Theatre. The first, “A Beautiful Noise” received raving reviews throughout the run. Check out my review by clicking here. All shows are directed and co-produced by Andrew Webster.
Knowing Me, Knowing You will take you on a musical adventure of daring proportions where life’s personal experiences influenced some of our most influential power couples in the music world. Whether they stayed together or went their own way, one thing is for sure; their music has stood the test of time!
This list of couples that fell in love first then used that relationship to have a successful musical career are astounding from Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Ike and Tina Turner, No Doubt, Sonny and Cher, Mick Jagger, Beatles, Carly Simon, Whitney Houston and our very own Mango Groove, to name just a few. Many of these famous singing duos and bands credit their relationships for the success of their music and that love is often the great first step to fame and fortune.
I Do, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, I Got You Babe, River Deep Mountain High, Does your mother know, Hellfire, Don’t Stop, Go Your Own Way, Valerie, It takes two, Day Tripper, When I was your Man and the title song Knowing Me, Knowing you are just a few of the hits that will take you back to a time when songs were inspired by real life stories!
Knowing Me, Knowing You will transport you to a land of love needed, love forgotten, love lost, but importantly, love often gained!
Over five decades of popular songs with a dynamic front line of awesomely talented singers and supported by a world-class band.
Directed and Co-Produced by Andrew Webster

ABOUT THE ROCKWOOD THEATRE:
Rockwood Theatre has pizzas, platters and light meals available for purchase for patrons to enjoy while the performance is on, otherwise patrons can bring their own picnic baskets. The venue encourages patrons to pre-order meals when making their bookings – platters need to be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.
ALL Drinks need to be purchased at the venue.
With the recent refurbishment, Rockwood Theatre now has an VIP area where groups can book the area for their heightened show enjoyment. The area is raised, separate and private from other patrons, with the seating being comfortable couches, chairs and cushions and includes private waiter service. The couched area is for groups of 6 as well as single row seating with a counter.
Another exciting addition at Rockwood Theatre is that on Friday and Saturday evenings, the foyer area will transform into a dance area with couches and cocktail tables to sit at. A DJ will commence straight after the show until late, so there’s no need to rush off – make an evening of it!
