If you’re looking for a luxury Southern African escape, look no further than the Summerfield Luxury Resort & Botanical Garden in Manzini in Swaziland.
I’ve stayed at this boutique hotel on many occasions and the reason it’s my preferred accommodation venue in Swaziland is simply because of the chic elegance. You will feel like royalty.
With 4 variations of accommodation to choose from, there is something to suit everyone. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and very spacious. I was lucky enough to have had the experience of staying in the suites more than once. It felt like a home away from home!
The linen is always crisp white, which is one of the things that appeal to me about any accommodation venue. Nothing is more unsatisfactory than getting in to bed, only to find poor quality linen or linen that doesn’t look, smell or feel fresh.
The suites have a dining area, should you wish to eat in your room. It also has a lounge, both very spacious. There is a well stocked mini bar in the suites as well as a coffee machine with coffee pods supplied. I enjoyed the docking station, where I could just pop in my phone and listen to my own music.
The walk to your room is picturesque. The garden is beautiful with peacocks roaming about. In season, trees are filled with mangoes and litchis. The garden has some of the most beautiful and unique flowers. Even if you’re not a nature lover, this beautiful garden will leave you in awe.
I enjoyed the view from the restaurant. Just as the rest of the property, the restaurant area too, had a tranquil ambience. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. After a tiring long day, eating at the restaurant or in your room, was very convenient opposed to driving out into town for dinner.
The closer you are to the pool area, the better the wifi signal. On a very hot day, one could relax at the bar sipping on cocktails or go for a swim in one of the pools. Breakfast is served in this area. The breakfast is like a feast, with so much to choose from. I loved the variety.
The location of the resort is great as it’s central to the tourist attractions.
I have never noticed any children at the resort ever. So if you don’t like the sound of children running around, you will definitely enjoy the tranquility.
