It’s that time of the year where the streets are filled with Autumn leaves. It’s quite a relief for me because I am not summer fan. I look forward to winter…so seeing the street covered in Autumn leaves, is a sign that cooler days are closer. This means that it’s time for the jackets, boots and sneakers to come out.   I guess one of the reasons I love dressing the most in winter is because it isn’t humid so this means better hair and skin days for me.

One of the things I love most about winter attire, are boots! You can never have too many – my husband of course disagrees. Me on the other hand…well let’s just say shoes in general are one of my weaknesses but I must admit, I’ve been pretty good recently. Not necessarily by choice – I simply don’t have enough time to go shopping. There were many phases in my life where my cousins counted how many pairs of shoes I owned and they used to be over 200 at a time!

Not having time to physically go out to shops doesn’t mean that I can’t satisfy my shoe addiction.  There’s of course Superbalist! Let me share with you some of the boots I stumbled across on Superbalist… It seems to me that shiny, floral and velvet boots seem to be the trend for this season. I’ve never been one to shop according to trends, unless of course it was incidental that I liked that style.

My Top Picks in Boots

Speaking of styles, I came across this pair and instantly fell in love with it! The heel isn’t too high, so that’s great. After all, at this stage of my life, I’ve kind of ditched the very high heels and shop for comfort instead. I love the lace-up Victorian look. The fact that I think it looks sexy, is just a bonus over and above the comfort factor.

I do believe that every woman needs a pair of black boots that go with everything. I find this pair  below to be so versatile. It’s a classic style that is simple but somehow speaks “power” to me. Call me weird, but when I wear a pair of boots like these, they sort of make me feel like I’m in control, they make me feel confident.  This style is therefore a must for me, for every winter.

I don’t usually wear shiny or gloss finish boots but this is a pair of Hunter boots, yes…THE HUNTER boots.  I am not sure why; at first, I just skipped looking at it. But then I had to look again and again, and I’ve somehow grown fond of it, I can see these being my weekend favourite with jeggings or skinny jeans.

Would you wear these?

My Top picks in SNEAKERS

Recently, I’ve been leaning toward wearing sneakers over the weekend. If you know me, you’d know that this is so NOT me. They look so comfy but I am still trying to get used to the fact of dressing more sporty, if I may call it that – it has absolutely no link to me being sporty..unless chasing after a toddler counts.

These sneakers  on Superbalist are yelling to me….”buy me………buy me……please…….pity please…”

Adidas NMD R2 – It’s always nice to have a darker colour, just in case the other pair gets dirty…you know what I mean? Well of course yes, that’s a good enough and justifiable reason to have another pair! I could not decide between the two, so I don’t see a problem having them both.

This pair below, the Adidas Swift Run W – I love simply because of the colour – it’s one of my favourite colours of clothing to wear, so it’s naturally fitting that I should have some sneakers to go with them.

Gone are the days were I could spend weekends running around in high heels. This mommy has a toddler and if you know what that’s like…you’ll understand why sneakers seem more appealing to me these days.
