Covid fatigue. Full Stop. I could end this right now and that itself will warrant plentiful reasons why you deserve a treat. Whether you are an employee, unemployed, married, single, young, or old, at certain points or phases in your life, you come to the realisation that you ought to spoil yourself. Do we do enough of this? Time is often used as an excuse, and I am very guilty of that. We are so bombarded with everyday life that it is so easy to forget about caring for ourselves and those close to us. Sometimes we all need a reminder to practice self-care. When I heard of French Lemon, I knew that I had to share it with you. This brings me to the reason for my post; Here’s why French Lemon is great for Self-care!
But before I get into that, let me briefly firstly tell you what French Lemon is, just in case you haven’t heard of it. It is a luxury brand of handmade bath & shower products. I have often associated “luxury” with “expensive” and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how reasonably priced the products from French Lemon are. I should also add that they are specialists in natural and vegan products.
French Lemon for your SINGLE self
I remember the time I was single and how lonely it got and that was way before Covid. So, I can only imagine how much more difficult being single must be right now because of Covid. I do understand that you are probably thinking about how lonely you are and wishing you had someone in your life to pamper, why not start with yourself? After all, YOU ARE SOMEONE! Let me also remind you about what they say; “if you cannot love yourself, why expect anyone else to?”
This means taking care of yourself. Treating yourself. Pampering yourself. What better way than to turn your bath/shower time into a self-care ritual with soaps that look so good, you would be forgiven if the thought of biting into them crossed your mind. Fortunately for you, they do come with stickers that say “Do not eat“!
French Lemon for your LIFE PARTNER
When was the last time you said “Thank you” to that special someone in your life? A verbal thank you together with a little pamper treat is a lovely and thoughtful gesture to let that person know you made some effort to think of them. It also communicates that you appreciate and value them enough to get them a meaningful gift to remind them to practice self-care.
When I say meaningful, it should suit their likes but also their facilities. For example, getting a bath bomb for someone who does not have a bathtub makes no sense. That shouts out that you just got them something for the sake of it and in my humble opinion, you should have probably rather not got anything at all. If this person is or going to be your life partner, you want to put in the effort – that communicates “I listened to you, I understand your likes/dislikes, I am attentive, I know what makes you happy.”
Just imagine if you went online and ordered a few goodies for your special someone to pamper themselves with – without it being any special occasion like a birthday or anniversary – how would they react? If you can imagine such a gesture making them smile, then do it! If you want to go the extra mile and create a soothing ambience for them, then do not forget to look at their candle range. You could get some and light up the bathroom with these for them to enjoy the products you got him/her.
French Lemon for a FRIEND or FAMILY MEMBER
Perhaps your friend or someone in your family has been stressed with deadlines and not making time for themselves or perhaps they have just recovered from Covid. Either way, we know how stressful it can be and have lingering effects. I have experienced both and I know that it made me feel better to know that I have support. Through gestures of kindness through home-cooked meals, errands, or little gifts, I knew that together with emotional support, I was loved and had a few pillars of strength. Through such testing times, the value that it offers is incredible and more often than not, we do not admit that we want or need it, but when it happens, we feel more loved, more thought of and more special. This gives us more strength to push forward.
So, if your friend, even if not a bestie or a family member is going through a tough time, why not send them a care pack and include some unique products from French Lemon?
French Lemon for a TEAM
With Covid restrictions, team-building activities are very limited. Therefore, I believe that hiring French Lemon to do a Scrub or Lotion Station (or both) is such a fabulous and unique idea! All Covid protocols will of course be adhered to.
Employees or bridal shower teams can learn how to make their own scrubs and lotions! If you are tired of the same old boring events, this is something so unique that will certainly leave your employees and/or guests talking about it for a long time thereafter. They also get to take with them the products which they make!
I will not just limit it to employees and bridal showers – it could be a wow factor for a PR Event or even for birthday parties and other get togethers.

Interesting to know about French Lemon
I love that it is a local brand and I also love how they got to the name “French Lemon” – that just makes it so much more special. Hint, hint, it has something to do with a French Bull Dog, as the logo may have already indicated. Click here to find out more about that. I absolutely love the packaging and attention to detail.
When French Lemon bath bombs, soaps and their other products look so delicious that you almost want to eat it, know that you can enjoy them on your skin with peace of mind knowing that they are:
- Made from natural ingredients
- Cruelty Free
French Lemon for KIDS
With the above taken into consideration, you can imagine how my almost five-year-old enjoyed these products! To him (and to me) it looked like very yummy ice-cream and chocolates. He was amazed that he could bath with such candi-licious (no such word, I know) soaps! It is definitely a fun factor for bath/shower time. Knowing that it can be used on acne-prone skin or even those who have eczema, gives me peace of mind that it is safe for Kayden too, even though he doesn’t have any of these skin problems and hopefully never does.
He loves waffles and that look on his face when he said, “Mum, you’ve got to be kidding me….! A waffle soap!”
He also loves chocolate, fortunately in moderation and I am of course happier if he is excited to bath with chocolate-shaped soap than eat lots of chocolate!

These certainly created feel-good moments during bath time, watching the smile on his face, made me smile.
I must also mention that if this were not shared with me as a blogger, I would have not known about French Lemon. Better late than never! You may be interested to know that if you are a dog Mum or Dad, they also have a range for Dogs – look for “Ian’s Top Products” on their website. They also have a Mum-to-be range, Men’s Range, Hair Care Range, Anti-bacterial range, Home fragrance range and other products.
On that note, have you heard of French Lemon before this post and are you keen to try them?
