I LOVE winter! Oh yes I do! It’s my favourite season of the year. What I do not enjoy about winter is the dry lips, which I usually do get especially after a cold. I remember last year, I had the flu for a few weeks and during that time, my lips were not only chapped, but it was dry and painful as the skin peeled off. That’s not great for confidence, right? Imagine when your special someone wants to kiss you and you have to push them away because of how your lips look or feels. Not a nice thought…I know! There’s something that can help…have you heard of Letibalm? Allow me to share why you and your family need Letibalm this winter…
Last week, my hubby was sick for almost the whole week. He had a fever of note. Fortunately for him (yes, and me too!), he didn’t have to endure cracked lips over and above the awful other flu symptoms, thanks to Letibalm which he applied between his lips and nose.
It gives one peace of mind to know that they don’t have to suffer the harsh effects of constantly having to wipe one’s nose, which ends up being painful too. Letibalm helps to calm irritation, and it also aids in breathing, thanks to natural decongestants menthol and camphor. Letibalm creates a protective layer on the skin to prevent further chapping…and if you’ve experienced this, you know it lasts even after you’ve been cured from the flu.
Don’t allow dry or chapped lips to affect your intimacy this winter! Let it happen…use Letibalm to prevent or ease the irritation. Okay, sorry if that sounded corny, but if you’ve suffered from a cold which affected the areas between your nose and lips, then you will relate to just how uncomfortable that gets and you’ll be glad to know that the feeling can be eased. What’s winter like, without soft kisses from your significant other as you sit cosy in front of the fire under a blankie, with a good bottle of wine?
If you thought that you as an adult felt irritated with dry and chapped lips, can you imagine how children may feel? You’ll be glad to know that Letibalm Paediatric is also available for children between 0-8 years of age.
Just as us adults don’t like walking around with chapped and dry lips, so too do kids. Some are more conscious of this than we may realise. To the extent, that they may even avoid wanting to go to school because of the way it looks. Save them that embarrassment and make sure you help them take care of those nasty flu symptoms.
For those of you who prefer a Natural Cold & Flu Remedy, try the following:
Honey, Lemon and Ginger Remedy
Ingredients:
- 1 cup honey
- 2 lemons sliced
- A chunk of fresh ginger sliced
Add the lemon slices, ginger and honey in layers: a layer of lemon slices, a few pieces of ginger and a big spoon of honey.
Repeat until the jar is full, then seal and place in the fridge for 12+ hours, so the flavours infuse
Stir before use (the lemon juice and honey may separate)
Add a couple of teaspoons to a mug of hot water and drink immediately.
Keep it sealed in the fridge for up to 2 months.
It takes just 5 minutes to prepare and at least 12 hours to properly infuse.
Here are additional tips to care for your nose and lips this winter:
- Keep the skin well-moisturised.
- Use very soft tissues or toilet paper with aloe vera or calendula.
- Gently pat or blot the nose rather than wipe.
- Apply Letibalm nose and lip repair balm to protect, moisturize and help heal the skin.
- Wash with lukewarm water, avoiding harsh soaps or exfoliators.
- Use a saline spray to keep nasal passages moist.
- Use a humidifier to add moisture to the air.
- Drink plenty of water, hot broth or herbal tea.

Thanks for the remedy Definitely going to make some
Thank you for this post Peanut Gallery. I never heard of this product until I saw your post, I will surely try it because I also don’t like the way my lips feels or looks over winter
I love using their pediatric lip balm on my little boy. I may just go look at their adult range for myself and my husband too! Megan xx
I haven’t tried it on my almost 2 year old son as yet but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be happy as well. I find that the smell is soft and gentle and not harsh like some others…where your entire room will smell of it….well…maybe some people do enjoy that but not me
Sounds great. Thanks so much for the great post.
